📈 Google’s November 2024 Core Update: Google has launched its November 2024 core update, focusing on content quality, transparency, and relevance. Contrary to popular belief, Google isn't penalizing AI-generated content as long as it provides real value. It’s not about who writes it—AI or human—but whether the content is useful. This update aims to reward sites with genuinely helpful content while reducing the visibility of low-value articles. Stay mindful of quality, avoid spammy tactics, and give it some time to see the effects before making major changes.
🆕 Perplexity Introduces Ads to AI Search Platform: AI-powered search engine Perplexity is experimenting with ads, starting with “sponsored follow-up questions” in the U.S. The ads, featuring partners like Indeed and Whole Foods, are labeled and positioned alongside AI-generated answers. Perplexity emphasizes that ads won't impact answer quality or user privacy, aiming for a sustainable revenue model beyond subscriptions. This move contrasts with OpenAI's ad-free ChatGPT Search, while Google has also started piloting ads in its AI search.
📢 OpenAI's AI Agent Could Debut in January: OpenAI is reportedly close to launching "Operator", an AI agent tool that could take actions directly on a user's computer. Expected in January as a research preview, Operator may compete with other AI agents like Anthropic's Computer Use and Google's rumored tool. Bloomberg hints it could act as a general-purpose assistant executing tasks in a web browser. This launch could mark OpenAI's entry into the expanding space of AI agents beyond simple conversational capabilities.

Jobs to Be Done: Comparing Different Frameworks
By Oleg Yakubenkov
Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) is a well-known theory that examines products through the lens of the work customers “hire” them to do.The concept has led to numerous interpretations, some of which evolved into complete frameworks.
