🔍 OpenAI to Integrate SearchGPT into ChatGPT by Year-End: OpenAI's SearchGPT, initially launched as a prototype, will soon be part of ChatGPT by the end of 2024. According to Varun Shetty, OpenAI’s head of media partnerships, publishers won’t see ad revenue but will benefit from “significant incremental traffic” driven by new audiences. OpenAI aims to balance delivering direct answers with driving clicks back to publishers. SearchGPT’s integration could make ChatGPT a bigger player in search, emphasizing the importance of generative engine optimization (GEO) for SEO strategies moving forward.
🎥 Google Product Studio Adds AI Video Creation: Google has launched an AI-powered video generation tool in Product Studio, so faravailable to U.S.-based merchants. This feature helps create high-quality product videos quickly by transforming existing images into dynamic videos. Merchants can choose themes, customize audio, and tailor headlines to promote their products. Videos can be used across Google Ads, Merchant Center, or other marketing channels, offering a new way for merchants to create engaging content that can be valuable for those without a professional video team. Expansion to more countries is expected soon.
🎥 Meta Introduces AI Animation and Video Expansion Tools: At Advertising Week, Meta announced new AI-powered features for advertisers, including Image Animation, which brings movement to still images using text prompts, making ads more engaging. They also expanded Video Expansion tools, enabling advertisers to adapt video assets across formats with AI support. Additionally, Collections Ads now integrate creator content, allowing brands to use creator images or videos as “hero” assets, boosting engagement through authenticity.
